    Mrs Koon (管胡金愛校友) and Professor Chiu (趙麗霞校友) were awarded the Medal of Honour (MH) on 1 July 2017. [ 2017 Honours List ]

    • Mrs KOON, graduate of 1972 (S7), was awarded the MH for her dedicated public and community service, particularly her contributions to the insurance industry, women's organisations and corruption preventive education work.
    • Professor CHIU, graduate of 1974, was awarded the MH for her dedicated public service, particularly her contributions to the country parks management and environmental impact assessment.
    School Redevelopment Project: Funds-raising Drive

    Fund-raising Concert 2017 on April 22

    "When love and music come together, we are in the presence of grace." So very true, guests, alumnae, parents and students had an enjoyable evening of music at China Congregational Church, Causeway Bay. A variety of song titles in Chinese, English, Latin, etc. were sung by current YW S1-S5 students. Moreover, some ex-choir members also participated, playing musical instruments and joined in the singing. [ Official Page] [ Poster ] [ Event Report with Photos ]

    The fund collected through the concert is $781K, amounting to a total of HK$106.2m for the School Redevelopment Project. More donations are most welcome!

    Ying Wa Girls X Chocolate Rain

    This is a new YWGS School Redevelopment Fund-raising Initiative. A new collection of school souvenirs jointly designed by students of Ying Wa and the founder of Chocolate Rain, Miss Prudence Mak. It is the first time that Chocolate Rain is having such a crossover project with a high school.

    The Founder's Day Service cum AGM 2017

    Alumnae gathered at the School Hall, YWGS (decanting site) for the Founder's Day Service and AGM. The new Council was formed and 17 members started to take up the post right after the Meeting. Though there wasn't a Founder's Day Dinner this year, attendees stayed behind and chitchatted during the tea reception.

    Congratulations to Ms Bow Sui May

    Ms Bow (鮑瑞美校友), graduated in 1954, has been instrumental in the development of special education, and in particular, the education of children with hearing impairments - initially in Hong Kong, and subsequently in Mainland China as well. In recognition of her contributions to Hong Kong society and education, the Hong Kong University has resolved to confer upon her the degree of Doctor of Social Sciences in March 2017. [ Details ]

    Brief Intro of New Council Members
