Musical [

Academy for Performing Arts
 It
was a three-act musical performance with dance, music and poetry. With an original score and script, the
musical incorporated different elements of drama, music, dance and
multimedia. Students sang and played 18 pieces of original music live
on stage.
Using a humorous and surrealistic approach, Alice addressed social
issues and juvenile problems in our society. The audience were amazed
by YW students' talents by watching this entertaining and
thought-provoking performance! Nearly 200 students were involved as
actresses or crew.

110th Anniversary Celebration Events
 We celebrated the 110th Anniversary on 27 March (Sat). Major events, including the Thanksgiving Service and Anniversary Dinner, were well attended by guests, alumnae & family, teachers & staff, parents and students.
The Thanksgiving Service started at 3:30 pm followed by the Annual General Meeting at Silcocks
Hall. Watch and listen to
Rev Lee's speech.
The congregation then moved on, to the Hong Kong
Convention and Exhibition Centre. A total of 137 tables were set in
the decorated Grand Hall for the event.
The dinner programme started at around 7:30 pm. Highlights of the evening included: address by Mr Michael SUEN Ming Yeung
(孫明揚局長), alumnae choir performance, latest progress of school
redevelopment project and fund-raising drive kick-off ceremony.

 The second DVD on Ying Wa Heritage, entitled 回顧。更新。延續－英華女兒的故事, has just been released. The theme is on the history of Ying Wa’s contribution to women education in Hong Kong, and outlook for the future.

Beyond 110 - Standard Chartered Marathon
 To
unite students, teachers, alumnae and parents in the 110th anniversary,
the Long Run Team had rallied more than 170 participants to take part in
the Standard Chartered Marathon 10 km race. Among the athletes,
there were 59 students, 37 alumnae, 47 parents and 30 YW staff.
 The event took place early in the morning
on 28 Feb 2010 (Sun). Snapshots of this memorable event are now
available for browsing.!

On 20 Nov 2009, more than 100 parents and alumnae joined the annual
charity fund-raising Sponsored Walk. The event marked the commencement
of the 110th anniversary celebrations. To mark this special occasion, a
launching ceremony was staged in the hall.
