Greetings to Miss Jenkins, Principal (1967-1972)
Greetings to Miss Jenkins, Principal (1967-1972)
Rosa Lai (’72)
In response to the appeal to send greetings to Miss Jenkins (referring to the Feb 2020 issue), we are delighted to have collected 50 messages from alumnae via Google Form. Majority (84%) of the messages came from graduates of 50s-70s, who were her students. Angela Tang (’72) helped to convey the messages to Miss Jenkins who now stays in a lovely home for the elderly in Kent, England.
During the months of the lockdown, no visitors were allowed. Through the kindness of the staff at the home, we were glad to learn that Miss Jenkins was keeping well, and celebrated her birthday in August. Our warmest wishes, Miss Jenkins!
We are happy to share below two of the messages for Miss Jenkins from our alumnae.
- Thank you Miss Jenkins for your legacy: You sow seeds of loving kindness in me and my classmates. We in turn multiply them amongst our families, friends and the world. Thank you and LOVE always. (Chan Yim Sheung Dannie, ’70)
- Hi Ms. Jenkins, thank you for coming all the way from the UK to HK to help build a better future for women's education in our city. It's been a pleasure to be part of this legacy! (Pang Pak Ling Whitney, ’10)
