Farewell Call with Retiring Teachers: A Heartfelt Reunion Across Continents
Farewell Call with Retiring Teachers: A Heartfelt Reunion Across Continents

On 29 June 2024, the YWGSAA UK-London Chapter hosted a special farewell event for Mr Cho Kong Sang (our Vice Principal) and three retiring teachers: Ms Yeung Ming Wai, Mr Huen Kwong Cheuk and Mr Lee Tad Ming. Although separated by vast distances and different time zones, this exclusive event was made possible through a Zoom video call, allowing alumnae in the UK to reconnect with our cherished teachers, who joined us from Hong Kong.
The virtual reunion was filled with nostalgia and gratitude. Many of us had been taught by the retiring teachers, and their influence on our lives remains profound. The event provided a rare and valuable opportunity to express our gratitude and reminisce about the moments that shaped our time at Ying Wa. The retiring teachers shared reflections on their careers and the memories they've cherished, while alumnae recounted their own experiences and teachers’ lasting impact. The conversation, though virtual, felt as warm and familiar as if we were back in the classrooms.
We extend our deepest thanks to Mr Cho, Ms Yeung, Mr Huen and Mr Lee for taking the time to connect with us, despite the challenges of coordinating across different time zones. As they step into retirement, we wish them health and happiness. They will be dearly missed, but their legacy will continue to inspire us all.
To our retiring teachers: thank you for everything. Your dedication, wisdom and kindness have left an indelible mark on all of us, and we wish you all the best in your well-deserved retirement. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
